I've got to say, this ended a lot more optimistically than I thought it would after all that family time, and I couldn't be happier about that. Those are some answered prayers right there, if I ever saw any. I am really glad things are looking up for you, even if the road ahead is still uncertain. What you have managed to overcome--and achieve--during this past year is impressive. God bless.

I was glued to every word you wrote! This is some of your finest writing. Yes, you’ve come a long way! You have been on my prayer list this year. Before you know it, the end of the year will be here and you will be back with your family in Virginia.

Continue to move forward....you are still in the tunnel, but the light at the end of the tunnel is growing brighter.

Tenacity and courage will bring you the Peace that your heart seeks.

ahh Steve...next time you are in Wake Forest, stop by St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. When I saw the statue you left with your wife, my heart quickened. The statue they have is Mary, Seat of Wisdom. It is a beautiful church. Much solace I have found there. A man there gave me the Surrender prayer (Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything) It took a couple of years to learn surrender, still learning, but man alive, what a difference. God loves us so much and I know you will learn more because...
