But honestly, in this situation, go home, sleep in a room with your oldest boy if that is the only place, and make whatever money you can there to try to keep the home together. Part of why marriage exists is because it takes two parents in whatever configuration of work inside and outside the home to finance and raise a family. Not liking each other much right now is sort of irrelevant. Your children need both of you. Finances are just part of that but if that is the only thing you can agree on then let it be that- you have to join forces for your children to have a home.
Well, I do not know the history of that. But I know my husband and I have forgiven each other for things other people would say we should not have and in the end it is much better that we are still together. I suppose I am only writing this for others who might read it.
