I’m coming into this post without a plan, which is always a little dangerous.
I’ve got this feeling that I need to riff on something but my brain’s “predictive text” feature isn’t working. Some posts start writing themselves in my head before I can get to a writing implement and take notes. Some just come to me as a theme; a loot crate to be unpacked.
This is the latter kind, and I don’t like them much at all.
So let’s start at the end, and work our way back to the beginning. The exact opposite way to start a story. This isn’t even a story in media res. It’s the final scene, followed by confusing flashbacks.
