I’ve been struggling to get my thoughts to coalesce into something I really want to write down.
There’s this thing that happens, sometimes, when an idea is waiting to be born.
You can’t rush it, you can only sing it lullabies, and softly whispered welcomes.
It is a process as slow and painful sometimes as waiting for the knitting of a bone.
Today I decided, while the soup’s still simmering down, to reach for something more direct and emotive.
I’ve been collecting moments from my trip on film, or at least, the digital equivalent thereof. I decided to compile some of them together to offer a feeling of things from Rhode Island to Grand Blanc.
And then I found the perfect song to tie it all together.
I’m not going to say I cried when I watched the finished product, but I’m not going to tell you I didn’t, either.
More to come, soon.
