Not that I need to justify my decision, but I got tested on my first full day of identifiable symptoms. I don't think that's a long wait at all. As for the kids, I honestly thought they had a flu until I got it and felt the difference. With 6 kids in school, a rambunctious toddler, and home-based business, we're running non-stop most of the time until something knocks us off our feet.

I have no kids, but I had to get vaxed for work. I had to work to pay bills, maintain my lifestyle, and most importantly get insurance for my meds and therapy. Today is my last appointment with my therapist, who I’m gonna invite to my current Parish. The meds are cheap (the Dr’s appointments are not), but with mental health, it took me years to figure out what was happening with the whole “Mental Health Complex.”
In case you haven’t realized by now, I have a BRUTALLY alcoholic brain. I don’t drink, no more weed (Thank You JESUS!!!), and I’m slowly tapering off the meds I have now (Lexapro/ Adderall, 20mg daily), accompanied by possibly too much caffeine and nicotine (via vape.) My apologies for the harsh comment yesterday, I was a little over-heated. You are an extremely prolific and well-published writer and yeah, I’m a fan of your earlier work and publication. Writing, reading, and editing is an exceptionally life-giving and dangerous profession. WE want you to come back to the Altar.
I’m not sorry for being late with my comments.
🙏Nobiscum Deus🙏
P.S. My degree is in Digital Cinema from DePaul University. They’re crazy over there, great school tho.
