I'm only half way through the podcast, but two things...

In that first clip of David Grusch you played, he says he hopes this is the last interview he does "pre-disclosure". What?! I was surprised you guys missed that. It sounds like he expects a real disclosure is coming, and given he doesn't want to do any more interviews prior to that, how long could that be? One year? Two years? Months?

Which brings me to the second point. You keep mentioning how they may not want disclosure because of the shock it would cause. Well, like, unless, they prepare you for the disclosure. I mean what have we been going through? We're in the "pre-disclosure" phase. Even Spielberg's movie was doing his part of that.

They're in the phase where some say there's something moving under the carpet. And that phase includes gradually more and more details, including insane details, so that once the real disclosure comes, you've heard it all repeatedly already. They've been pointing at the thing under the carpet so long and telling you exactly what it is, that once they pull the carpet up, you aren't all that surprised by what you see.

Steve Skojec's avatar

We mentioned it in passing at 12:19. I'm so used to this discourse I didn't linger on it, and probably should have. Grusch has been working with Rep. Burleson for the past 1.5 years, and I suspect he's had a part in briefing Trump (he has stated that he knows Trump has been briefed, which could mean personal involvement) so I think he's aware of where this is headed. Lots of rumors that Trump will be The POTUS Who Does Disclosure. And that the time is coming.

When, though? I'd hate to put a timeframe on it. Everyone who has, has been wrong.

I do agree about the pre-disclosure phase, but there is a strong contingent within the Government machine (Google "The Collins Elite") who are fighting this on religious/ontological grounds, and that's in addition to the guys fighting this because they don't want the secrets America has to get out. So I don't think it's a clear path.

But I think all the talk about it just feels like a fun time. The reality might have more of an impact than people expect. I've heard some guys who are in the know say that once we find out we're not at the top of the food chain, people are going to freak out.

Dean Cooper's avatar

I've heard you repeat the line about, "once we find out we're not at the top of the food chain...". It's a bit like when we found out the sun didn't revolve around the Earth. For some, that was a depressing thought. But if Jim Kirk beamed down next to you, would you freak out, or would you be pretty darned happy?

When I hiked the desert outside of Tucson, I often wondered if I was being tracked by a cougar. Being at the "top of the food chain" didn't give me much comfort then.

But look, the bible is clear we're not at the top. Psalms: What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

That's interesting, isn't it? We're clearly not at the top, and yet God treats us as somehow special anyway. Who knows exactly what Goliath was (I'd think some alien/human hybrid), but did David lament being less? No. With God, Goliath is nothing.

Elijah was surround by a human army. Didn't phase him. He could see the angelic army.

I don't care what technology the aliens have. They aren't privileged in the sense that humans are. We can be sons of God. To me, that's why the aliens/angels are here. Humans are the center of this universe - and they know it.

My dad met an angel once. My dad was in India praying for 2000 people out in an open field. A very well dressed Indian came and started helping my dad, telling my dad what each person needed prayer for. And then my dad noticed the guy never asked anybody what their problem was. He just knew. When my dad finished up, he turned around and the guy was gone. In a big field where there was no place to disappear to. They guy was an angel.

Oh. And the guy was really tall. The point though is that the angel was helping the human. He was clearly above us, and yet he honored us all the same.

Steve Skojec's avatar

I would only say that based on my observations, your reaction to the idea would not be typical.

Dean Cooper's avatar

No kidding. How many people were like David? But God honors David above everyone else exactly because David saw things others didn't.

Not that I'm David, of course. But scripture was given to us to open our eyes.

Psa 53: God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand...

Sounds to me like most don't get it. Faith is more than believing. It's seeing.

Johanas Silento's avatar

Interesting thoughts, Dean. The categories you bring to the table (Cougars, Jim Kirk, Goliath, etc.) are known territory, so your psyche has, in some way, accommodated them. Ontological shock is more like a new category opening up, maybe one that's completely new, and thus could provoke terror. It would be akin to the stories that people tell about encountering Bigfoot, for instance. The most convincing element of these encounters is the overt fear they conjure in the experiencer... this fear has always struck me as the most believable element. It seemed to rise in them because these people had no category for this being and were overwhelmed by the new information the encounter provided. Because of your interpretation of scripture, you seem open to new categories of being, but I can assure you most modern people are not. Existence is flat and closed.

Dean Cooper's avatar

Well, that's why I say we are purposefully being softened up by having all this "pre-disclosure" information gradually come out as it has over the last few years. Doing that lessens the shock. I presume this will continue until the real disclosure.

And of course, you don't have to run into a Bigfoot to have overt fear. What if you were on a hike, and someone shot an arrow near you with a note saying, "Congratulations, you've just wandering onto our game preserve, and you're the game. We'll enjoy hunting you down and wanted to give you fair warning. Good luck."

On the other hand, imagine a group of Bigfoots coming out and disclosing they are real to us, but telling us they just want to live in peace. How much shock would that create?

Or imagine our government showing us video of aliens but telling us we are working with these aliens to bring their technologies for our use. That would be somewhat shocking, but not too much.

It's if these aliens show up appear threatening that you have a real problem. How does our government soften that?

AnnKP's avatar

Wow...TWO videos to watch. You made my day, although I admit that this stuff scares the bejeebers out of me. There doesn't seem to be an explanation that is 100% positive for humanity, no matter what the truth is.

You'll probably roll your eyes, but I count myself among those who believe "aliens" are most likely demons, and part of the "great signs and wonders" that "false Christs and false prophets" will show during the end times (which Jesus speaks about in the Gospel of Matthew).

In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12, Paul says, "The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

"All power," sounds like something pretty darn spectacular, and IF that is what is going on here, why wouldn't the preparation for it begin decades before the "big reveal?"

Paul even refers to Satan as "the prince of the power of the air." (Ephesians 2:2)

I'm NOT claiming with 100% certainly that that is what is going on here, but I think it's worth considering, at least as much as the idea that "it's all real."

In any case, I'm looking forward to watching both programs! It's always the best part of my week!

I sometimes wish I could yell out to you guys. Ha!

Why aren't people curious? Like maybe they have lives to live and are too busy to pay attention to stuff that sounds crazy. Like maybe they assume that if something ever really happens, it will be in the news.

We all live in our bubbles. And we all censor ourselves lest others think we're really weird.

But here's something you might find interesting. For ages a top archeologist said Sodom had to be on the dry side of the Dead Sea. No one challenged him because you just don't do that. But finally he passed away, and a new guy says, why would a city be down there? Wouldn't they build it in the Jordan river delta? So he goes to Jordan and the local people in a museum say, oh yeah sure, we know where it is. We mapped it out long ago.

It was no secret, and yet all the "prominent" people would never go there.

So then this new guy goes there and digs. And he finds a layer of melted rock consistent with an air-burst meteorite that hit at the right time and would have incinerated everything with temps up to 2000 degrees F.

Now go read the bible again. It says the two angles that were sent to get Lot and his family out had to drag him as it was so urgent he get out. Like, maybe they knew all along that a meteor was headed that way. Like maybe they knew how much time was left. Like maybe we'd see those "angles" as aliens if they showed up today.

It was there all along. Right in scripture. Not Ezekiel's wheels, that we don't know what that is. But "angels" who apparently knew a meteor was about to hit.

And yet how many people do you know who know this? Or that the blast wave that swept over Sodom would have melted salt and sand and encrusted anyone looking back?

It's not that people aren't curious. It's that the authorities that choose to tell us what is important censor information from us all the time.

Or consider what the bible says about why the "aliens" don't disclose themselves. They aren't allowed to. They have to wait to be given permission from God.

But perhaps that answer doesn't fit you're thinking. From my perspective, I could say you have a decided lack of curiosity.

I think Eric W is not so much talking about normies (although I do question how even normies are like "whatever, I have TikTok to scroll") as thought leaders and influencers. Lots of people who make a living from looking at bigger picture events aren't aware.

His point about Bartlett, who hosts one of the biggest podcasts in the world, not knowing who Grusch is or what he said two weeks ago being utterly fascinating holds for me. This is a guy who makes a lot of money talking about attention-grabbing topics. We've got a kind of blindness for this issue because everyone is afraid of looking crazy.

Johanas Silento's avatar

Steve, this is a good point. It's interesting that Barlett didn't know, and that he should at least have known Grusch's name. I went back and listened to that exchange again, and his response seems feigned, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's willful blindness to maintenance perceptions.

Ok, but when are you really going to COMMIT to the woo? Come on, man. Stop holding back.

Hold on, I have to feng shui my chi

Had to laugh when I read you were gonna "make time" to.... Let me know that recipe please.

Steve Skojec's avatar

I'm hoping it comes to me very quickly!

The Marketing Trad's avatar

Yeah … things got weird. Are you guys keeping the long format?

Steve Skojec's avatar

It’s the only way

The Marketing Trad's avatar

Cool! How much prep do you guys have to put into a show? It helps to be well read and well lived to begin with, sure, but you want to be armed with info on the topics.

Steve Skojec's avatar

We read and share stuff with each other every day. We both listen to/watch a bunch of podcasts each week. I spend most of every Tuesday doing show prep and making outlines on topics so I have a basic idea of what we're going to hit.

At some point soon, we're probably going to need to start bringing in guests, but the core of our show is always going to be two uncs working together in real time to try to figure out the big underlying stories shaping the world and what they really mean.

The Marketing Trad's avatar

Thank you kindly for the thoughtful reply. I found the show through Avoiding Babylon and I'm looking forward to more episodes. There was one recently where you guys were riffing on Peter Thiel ... what's with his obsession with the Antichrist? Some Catholics get a curiosity about the topic and we have some good sources, but I don't think many of us go around holding secretive talks about it. The world is weird.

Dean Cooper's avatar

Further in the podcast you mention not seeing why God would make the universe so big, with all these galaxies humans will never go to. It seems you haven't heard that the universe HAS to be as large as it is or it wouldn't work. Life is only possible if the universe is exactly the size it is (and if the proportion of dark energy and dark matter are right). A whole bunch of parameters have to be just right or you're not going to end up with advanced life like us.

This isn't creation scientists that say this. This is regular scientists that don't like talking about these matters because, as the paper that discovered how our solar system has the distribution of planets it has, seeing how improbable it is gives them "philosophical disquiet".

Hugh Ross has long catalogued what scientists themselves have discovered as the requirements to have advanced life here. We live on a perfect planet with a perfect moon, with a perfect sun, in a perfect solar system, in the perfect position in our galaxy, in a perfect galaxy, in a perfect galaxy cluster, in perfect super cluster, in a perfect universe - all at the perfect time to be able to discover all this.

God has laid out the evidence for His handiwork in front of our telescopes, and only now can we read it. Which is why we're at the end of an age, and why AI and UAPs are happening now. I don't know how much time is left, but it sure seems to be getting close.

Asking why the universe is so large is like asking why the oceans are so large or why the moon is so large. If they weren't the size they are, we wouldn't be here.

Johanas Silento's avatar

I think when you go down the "HAS to" road too deeply, you get tied up in all kinds of quandaries, logical and otherwise. I have read some of the science and listened to Hugh enough to know he's following the data and sound method, not an ideology, and I don't think he goes as far as to say the cosmos has to be the way it is. Like others, he notes the peculiarities of the solar system, galaxy, cosmos, and humanity's existence in this current age, which lets us observe what we can. So, I give you that.

I have always thought a simpler answer is that it is Paradise lost, or at least delayed.

Dean Cooper's avatar

It's more of "if this weren't the way it is, it's highly unlikely we'd survive." The black hole at the center of our galaxy is unusual when compare to most other galaxies. It's about ten times smaller. If if were an average sized one, then life wouldn't have a chance because of the cosmic rays it emits. As it is, we're lucky to be far enough away from our nearest neighboring galaxy (Andromeda) as it effectively sterilizes it's entire region.

My view is that this isn't Paradise lost. It's an optimization engine. It's designed by the Creator to give Him the optimal output of what He's looking for - and that's a bride for His Son. And "aliens" are part of that. And we've been warned.

"And then the lawless one will be revealed... with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish... for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie..."

The shock isn't the primary problem. It's the lies the aliens tell.

Johanas Silento's avatar

Thanks for the reply and thoughts, Dean.

I've heard it before, but the comment by Eric Weinstein that there are no top physicists working on alien spacecraft technology really hit home with me. I talked to AI about. Then I set up a panel of 12 AI agents to tackle the problem from every angle imaginable. And further debate it with even more AI agents. Who then looked into it more deeply. Here's the conclusion (summarized by my main AI overseeing the extensive discussion and debate on the subject):

The short version

No hangar, no bodies, no warp drive; the story being sold fails on every line of evidence that would exist if it were true.

What we can say with reasonable confidence

The United States has not held and actively studied a non-human craft at any point since the 1940s. This is the firmest conclusion, and it rests on a convergence of independent arguments rather than any one of them. Study leaves traces wherever it happens: if not in the papers of cleared theorists like Teller, von Neumann, Wheeler, and Bethe, whose open collections show no unexplained pivot, then in the lab logs, contractor awards, procurement, and personnel of whoever did the work. Not understanding an object does not prevent measuring it; mass spectrometry and diffraction existed in 1947 and need no theory. Failure is not silent; a program that tried and gave up leaves closed facilities, reassigned staff, and people who talk. Eighty years have produced none of this, no capability running ahead of the field, and no engineering derivative. The 2024 AARO review, whatever its limits, documented the one compartment claiming UAP reverse-engineering that it found, reviewed it, and closed it as meritless. The referee’s estimate was roughly 10 to 30 to one against this tier, capped only by record series that have never been read.

The founding testimony for recovered hardware is evidentially empty. Every account traces to a documented disinformation operation, a failed prediction, or material shown privately to the witness. The Bennewitz affair, the Area 51 photos planted to protect the F-117, the “Yellow Book” with its failed 1997 landing, and the newly surfaced “Yankee Blue” hazing briefings show that the U.S. government has repeatedly manufactured exactly the kind of evidence the retrieval story runs on. This does not prove nothing lies beneath the lore, but it means sincere, credentialed witnesses describing what they were told or shown, which is nearly all of them, move the question not at all.

Several independent lines make biological extraterrestrial visitors unlikely in the first place: Rare Earth considerations, the human body plan reported for the visitors, the absence of any machine intelligence in a story that should be dominated by it, and a lore that mimics each era’s expectations rather than holding still like an external fact would.

What we can say with moderate confidence

The government has not held an intact craft even unstudied. Sustained custody of a working vehicle would have to survive a dozen administrations and agency handovers, inherited rather than remade, and the survey of real compartmented programs found no analogue: the longest, Venona, stayed unacknowledged about 52 years, was known to the adversary within a few, and left a complete archive. No program in the record survived a change of controlling agency without a records trail. The estimate was three to ten to one against. The residual rests on a possibility nobody can rule out and nobody has exemplified, an orphaned compartment outside all oversight.
