I agree that something weird is going on but, as you point out, it's hard to sort through all the conflicting information. Perhaps the powers that be are not in agreement among themselves as to what and how much to reveal. This would likely add to the confusion. For example, Chris Mellon, Lue Elizondo, and others have said that evangelicals in high places are convinced the phenomenon is a satanic deception and so work to keep any attention being given to it. Others in leadership are allegedly afraid that our people will not deal well with the knowledge humans are not at the "top of the food chain".I guess we just have to wait and see at this point.
