Just a note on the chabad thing bc I'm ethnically Jewish and you might not have a ton of Jewish readers: check out https://collive.com/ for recent news from the actual community. The long and short of it is that a group of mesichist (fringe group that believe the founder of the movement was the messiah) male yeshiva students (bochurim) occupied 770 - which is a beloved landmark for the community- to defend their illegal tunnel digging, prompting rabbis in the community to call the police. In other words, it's not like the whole community was united in support of the secret tunnel building- in fact, most Chabadniks see those guys as much of a deranged fluke as the outside media 😅 and were heartbroken and angry about the desecration of the shul. Apparently, there's been an issue of an extremist minority using the 770 space unchecked, causing others to shift to praying elsewhere in some cases. If you are interested in the movement itself, which is truly an anomalous and impressive feat in 20th century religion- I recommend the novel "My Name is Asher Lev" by Chaim Potok. The family of the protagonist is part of a fictionalized Jewish movement that is clearly based on Chabad.
Well it's kind of like if a small group of conspiracy minded traditional Catholics started digging through the floor of their church to expand and for reasons of fear and weak authority, the situation snowballed until the bishop called the police. It's wild, but I don't think it's sinister - especially knowing a handful of people in Chabad personally

Every time I hear more about this story, it gets a little wilder.

After contributing to Kale, I can’t contribute to Jin Gong. God loves you Steve end your family.
No need to explain. As I said, I’m just trying to bridge some gaps. I have no expectations, but I’m trying everything I can to piece things together.
I meant I had to contribute! I hope it went through
Oh, well thank you!
